Arnauld Lamorlette

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Arnauld Lamorlette has more than 20 years of experience in the computer graphics industry. Prior to joining The Bakery, Lamorlette spent 8 years at PDI/Dreamworks, where he held several positions including Visual Effects Supervisor for the upcoming Shrek The Halls and Head of Effects for Shrek the Third and Shrek 2, both sequels of the Academy Award-winning animated feature Shrek. Lamorlette also worked as Lead Effects Animator on Shrek, for which he received an Annie Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement for effects animation. Prior to PDI/DreamWorks, Lamorlette was one of the co-founder of the Paris-based studio Buf Compagnie where he served as Research and Development director and was involved in the production of the company's film projects, including The City of Lost Children, Batman & Robin and Fight Club. Lamorlette received the "Prix du Jury" at Imagina for his work on Tian'An Men.

Beyond his artistic expertise, Lamorlette has significantly contributed to the advancement of computer graphics technology. While at PDI/DreamWorks, he was a key contributor to the cutting-edge Global Illumination technology used in Shrek 2. In addition, Lamorlette developed the first stereo-photogrammetry software in 1992. This technique helped Buf Compagnie to create the "frozen moment" visual effect, which initially appeared in a Rolling Stone music video and later became popular in the Matrix trilogy as "bullet time moment".

Erwan Maigret

Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Prior to joining The Bakery, Erwan Maigret held the position of R&D Technical Lead at DreamWorks Animation on Animation Database and Scripting tools. He was responsible for the development and support of the scene and procedural data management used for rigging, pipeline, lighting and effects. Maigret's software has been utilized in Shrek 2, Madagascar, Over the Hedge, and Shrek the Third.

Maigret joined DreamWorks Animation in 1999 as a Character Technical Director working on the Academy Award-winning animated feature Shrek. In that role, he was responsible for the full character setup of several secondary characters. His work also included setups for commercials such as M&M's and Sega Dreamcast. Since 2001, Maigret has been critical to the ongoing evolution of character rigging tool development and process. He has also created a wrinkle deformation tool, which was used for the look of clothing in Shrek 2.

Prior to joining DreamWorks Animation, Erwan held several 3D developer positions at various companies based in France, including Animaré and Plexus, a low-vision research center, for which he created 3D simulations of the human eye. Maigret is the owner of a patent on laser-based glasses technology.
