Company Overview

The Bakery is a new computer animation studio. Our ambition is to create world-class computer generated feature films that appeal to audiences of all ages, thanks to a state-of-the-art proprietary pipeline and the experience of our 3D veterans.

Our team is comprised of seasoned experts in the field of computer animation and visual effects with previous experience in studios such as Pixar, PDI/Dreamworks, ILM and Weta.

Our R&D team (currently 17 engineers) is already working on the proprietary production pipeline. Targeting a team of 21 senior developers by June 2008, The Bakery R&D plans to deliver a production-ready toolset within a year and a half, in preparation for the company's first short film, currently under development.

We intend to start the production of our first feature film within two years, with an estimated production team of 250 people. We will then deliver a new feature film every fifteen to eighteen months afterwards.

The studio has been founded by Yalçın Çevikel, a Turkish entrepreneur with a passion for animated movies.

We are located in Gemenos, Provence, south of France.
